Fun in the pool

We finally got a pool that is big enough for the three of them. It isn't so deep that Nevaeh would not be able to stay in it either. They LOVE it. They are out there at least three hours everyday. I do laundry while they're out there, so that I can watch them and still be busy.

Happiness is... having a sister/brother to love!

It is rare that I catch a moment where these three aren't bickering over something. It drives us up the wall at times. I don't think they realize how lucky they are to have each other to play with. I caught a rare moment of them actually being nice to one another and had to get it on camera. It was very sweet. Hopefully it happens more often.

We got a new doggy friend

We adopted a Pomeranian from the animal shelter. That makes us two Pomeranian, they're such loyal animals. We named the new girl, Sadie. Sadie was an abused dog who was rescued by the animal shelter. She is going to need a lot of love to learn how to act like a regular dog, she mostly goes around the house all scared. Sadie has taken a liking for Makenzie and has to be by her side at all times. Shayla (our other Pomeranian) loves Sadie! Sadie doesn't like the attention at all. She wants nothing to do with Shayla yet. I hope they will become great friends soon. Everyone who knows Shayla.. knows that she is a diva who enjoys making new friends :-)

Thrift Store Score

I am a thrift store addict. My whole family is. There is something so satisfying about clothing your family for so little money. I don't HAVE to rely on thrift stores for clothing, I just want to! I have been able to find some of the most awesome clothes for so very little (as in 50 cents a piece) Last year before school started, I bought Makenzie's entire wardrobe for less than $50 and that included about thirty shirts, twenty pairs of shorts, socks, and pants. The only thing I do buy new is shoes. I can't wait to do it again this year.


Here is our latest find. It was a size 14/16 girls. Nevaeh wears a size 5/6, but I loved the outfit, so what did I do? I had my mom sew it down to fit her! Worked great! Now it fits her perfect! My mom even embroidered her whole name on the front of it. And we got it for next to nothing.

It came the biggest down pour today and I let the kids go out in the rain. They had so much fun. They said "your the greatest mom ever" They all got soaking wet, but had so much fun. I used to play in the rain when I was young and I remember just how much fun it was. I want my kids to get to enjoy the same things I did as a kid because those kind of memories last forever.
Hopefully that down pour will cool it down some here. It has been blazing hot out which makes our house so hot (even with two a/c units going!) Here are some pictures and later hopefully I can add a video.
